An 80-year-old man died Friday morning after becoming unresponsive while diving about 6 to 7 miles offshore from Barnegat Inlet, according to authorities.
Drew Norris, commanding officer of Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light, said the station was notified late morning on Sept. 4 when the dive boat called after the man surfaced from his dive unresponsive.
