In case you missed the announcement late last summer, the Barnegat Light Ocean Mile Swim is making a comeback in July, and registration for the event opened last week.
“The transition took a little time, but it’s done and the Ocean Mile Swim has officially formed as a nonprofit,” said Bob Preston, president of the Friends of Barnegat Light Beach Patrol, which took over the operation of the event after it was canceled for a second straight summer last July.
