Municipalities in New Jersey are required to exempt disabled veterans from property taxes, but the state does not reimburse the municipalities for the lost revenue.
At the Ocean County Mayors Association business meeting on June 17, the membership adopted a resolution urging legislation to impose state reimbursement of the cost to municipalities.
