A new kind of freedom is coming soon to boaters in Beach Haven, due to become the ninth location for Freedom Boat Club in the Ocean-Monmouth County region, joining the 400 locations already in operation around the world.
The business model, which originated in 1989 in Venice, Fla., eliminates the drawbacks associated with owning a boat, according to Operations Manager Terence Braver. The club membership arrangement “is like owning a boat without any of the hassles, e.g. cleaning, maintaining, winterizing and storing,” Membership Sales Manager Matt Paolo said.
