Last month, Sugar Planet, the candy retailer with shops in beach towns all along the East Coast, opened its second Long Beach Island location, at 305 North Bay Ave. in Beach Haven.
The first, Sugar Kingdom at 23rd Street in Ship Bottom, opened in summer 2020, as part of a million-dollar renovation of the Sunsations/Island Breeze complex. The company has more than 35 locations from Maine to Florida. The first store opened in 1983 in Ocean City, Md.
