On May 6, the Barnegat Township Committee voted to rescind Chapter 64 of the township code titled “Rent Leveling.” Chapter 64 has provided guidelines for township assistance to Brighton at Barnegat and Pinewood Estates, manufactured home parks. These parks have been established since at least the early ’80s and for decades have housed age 55-plus senior citizens of Barnegat Township.
