MELANIE GMO’ED: Some of you former hippy types might remember the protest anthem, “Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma,” made famous by somebody called Melanie. No one seemed to get her last name. I asked Donovan but he just chuckled.
Anyway, that very song flapped to mind as I recently read a shocking-ish story about genetically modified salmon – dubbed, by critics, as Frankenfish.
