In a career that began 46 summers ago, Nick Gazzillo recently stepped off his perch on a Beach Haven Beach Patrol lifeguard stand for the last time.
“From 1980 through 2004, Nick spent 25 consecutive summers serving on the Beach Patrol,” said the beach patrol on its Facebook Page. “After Hurricane Sandy, he returned in 2013 and continued working through 2018. Then, in 2023, Nick came back once again for his final chapter, finishing his career with the Beach Patrol in 2026.
