In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, “the forgotten areas of western North Carolina” are still recovering. One Surf City resident decided to “shine a light” on the ongoing struggle there by creating a line of Long Beach Island-inspired sea salt candles to raise relief funds for those impacted.
The hand-poured, white pine-scented HOPE candles, made with Celtic Sea Salt, natural coconut-soy wax and a cotton wick, were released this week; the 9-ounce “well-being candles” are priced at $35 each.
The scent is a blend of pine, juniper, cedar, citrus and eucalyptus.
