Long Beach Township Marine Field Station manager Angela Andersen relayed a call she received recently from a resident of High Bar Harbor who spotted dead diamonback terrapins in the lagoon behind her house. “Turns out they drowned in someone’s crab pot,” Andersen explained. “They left it in the water for a while and didn’t have bycatch reduction devices installed.”
