The borough of Barnegat Light has kayak problems and firework frustrations, and the question is: How hard is too hard to crack down?

“There are a surfeit of kayaks without registrations,” Councilman Joe Saburn announced during the caucus session before the regular council meeting of Wednesday, July 8. The seasonal registration fee is $25, but, according to borough resident Allan Canter, “We currently have 138 kayaks; 55 have no (registration) stickers on them.”
