I grew up with dogs and brought them into my young family as soon as we had settled in one place. We have had them as part of our family ever since. My children now each have dogs as part of their families.
Anyone who owns dogs knows the depth of dynamics they bring to a family or even just an individual owner. Those who do not own a dog or never have can often have a hard time relating to those who do. My opinion is those without a dog are missing a great joy in life.
