From homemade cookies to specialty matcha lattes, entrepreneur Justin Yuen, 20, is making a name for himself as JBakes, a pop-up bakery and beverage business at Birdy’s Café in Harvey Cedars this summer.
Yuen’s dream took flight in seventh grade when his friend challenged him to a bake-off just for fun. After using his middle-school classmates as judges for the contest, his peers began asking him to make more cookies days after.
