Huelsenbeck Loses, Dupuis Wins in Local Mayoral Races

There were only two local contested primary races in Southern Ocean County this year, both on the Republican side.

In Tuckerton, Councilman Michael Dupuis challenged incumbent Susan Marshall for a four-year term as mayor. There were only two candidates for two three-year seats on council, Renee Gioiello and Donald Rocheskey, so they were uncontested. They will both be newcomers on the governing body. No Democrats filed for the primary.
