Since 1999, Great Bay Regional EMS Squad 85 has been protecting communities in the Southern Ocean County area, with members working entirely on a volunteer basis. Now, that could change, Tuckerton Borough Clerk Jenny Gleghorn said at the June 15 council meeting.
As the community’s needs have grown, Great Bay EMS is evolving, and is now looking to develop a paid squad in addition to the volunteer squad.
