To the Editor:
I read with great dismay the recent votes and comments by Congressman Jeff Van Drew. He is twisting himself in knots with a semantics game to justify his vote to greatly reduce funding for Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security. Liar, liar, pants on fire!
The budget bills that he voted for may not “technically” cut current payments to recipients, but this is a game of semantics. The bill will reduce funding for each of these programs, without question.
