While September is usually warm enough to enjoy the beach, only a handful of beaches on Long Beach Island will have lifeguards following Labor Day weekend.
Beach Haven will have roving patrols from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, Sept. 2 to 7. Updates will be posted on the borough website beachhaven-nj.gov – click on “government” and then “beach patrol” – or the patrol’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
