To the Editor:
As a follow-up to my letter last week, yes, Rutgers University’s marine field station in Little Egg Harbor has released dragonflies to help control the greenhead fly population. The dragonflies’ predatory nature helps to naturally reduce the number of greenheads, which are a nuisance in the area. This initiative was noted by researchers at the Rutgers marine field station on Facebook.
