A new restaurant in Barnegat Township is offering cuisine not seen in this area.
Andrea’s Soul Food Café is located at 34 South Main St. (Route 9) in the former site of Big Barlow’s BBQ, which moved to Manahawkin.
Andrea’s is named for the youngest daughter of owner Shakierra Morris, who has been looking to open her own establishment after graduating from a culinary skills training program sponsored by Fulfill, formerly The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Prior to opening the eatery, Morris enjoyed cooking out of her church and running a café in a food mart.
