The kid next door showed it to me. He’d gotten it from his older brother. The book. With a naked girl swimming across the top of the cover, even though the waterline covered her up; a toothful sea monster rocketing up from the depths to devour her; and the adulterous sex scene described someplace within its pages. I was 14 and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!
