A business devoted to giving work opportunities to adolescents and adults with special needs will be starting its fifth season beginning Tuesday, May 13 at 7 a.m. at the Sea Shell Resort and Beach Club in Beach Haven.
The nonprofit Compassion Café debuted in 2021 at Barry’s Do Me a Flavor in the borough and the next year moved to the Sea Shell.
“This is a big year for us, our fifth anniversary,” said Sue Sharkey, who founded the business with her niece Erin Sharkey.
