Mother Nature stopped playing games with the spring weather just in time for the arrival of summer on the calendar and on the Island. For crews from U.S. Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light, that meant a busy weekend on the water.
Between June 20 and June 22, the weekend crew responded to three separate incidents of recreational vessels taking on water over the three-day span, according to Drew Norris, commanding officer of Station Barnegat Light.
