To the Editor:
June 14 is a defining moment for our democracy. On Flag Day, a day meant to honor the ideals of freedom and justice, the president is staging a lavish military parade that is designed to glorify himself rather the men and women who bravely defend our country. But across the nation, thousands will rise in defiance.
The “No Kings” protests are a call to action against authoritarianism, reminding America that we do not bow to rulers – we elect leaders.
