Carly Flannery and Austin Demello, owners of new Mystic Island açai bowl and smoothie shop Breezy Bowls in Little Egg Harbor Township, aptly chose a moth symbol to represent their business. It’s often a sign of rebirth and second chances, Flannery said, and that’s exactly what this endeavor is for them.

Demello, a Little Egg Harbor native, worked as a mason for most of his life. He was a foreman for Johnson Masonry before starting his own business, Demello Masonry, in 2020.
