Over the winter, the Beach Haven School launched the Compassion Kids Club, a new initiative designed to encourage students to cultivate kindness, empathy and compassion for others.
This after-school club was created by Jill Falletta, a first-grade teacher, in partnership with Sue Sharkey, a co-founder of Compassion Café. Operating out of the Sea Shell Resort and Beach Club in Beach Haven, the business provides work opportunities to adolescents and adults with special needs.
