The Barnegat Township Police Department will be conducting entrance testing for the purpose of establishing a hiring list for the position of patrol officer. Up to five officers may be hired.
According to the department, in order to be hired, the applicant must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of New Jersey and meet all qualifications as stipulated in state statutes. Sworn employees must maintain residency in the state of New Jersey during their employment with the agency.
