Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced on March 11 that Michael Mulgrew, 37, of Barnegat Township pleaded guilty to two counts of murder before Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan in connection with the deaths of his parents, Eugene Mulgrew, 71, and Cheryl Mulgrew, 69, also of Barnegat. At the time of his death, Eugene Mulgrew was an inspector for the Long Beach Island Health Department.
