Among the surest signs of spring in Barnegat Light is the opening of the public boat ramp. It happened this week, docks and harbors chair Joe Saburn announced at the regular meeting of borough council on April 8.
The municipal docks, sometimes called the livery, from the boat ramp to Seventh Street, underwent some cosmetic upgrades this winter, including new railroad ties, white stone and traprock in the parking lot. The slips are fully rented.
