On the hot, sun-splashed afternoon of June 11, Beach Haven held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new all-inclusive playground at Nelson Avenue Park. It transformed an aging playground into one with state-of-the-art equipment where children and adults of all abilities can play together.

The “Together We Play” project was made possible by a $750,000 state Green Acres “Jake’s Law” grant, which Beach Haven successfully secured 2½ years from the initial idea.
