To the Editor:
With Labor Day around the corner and crowds flocking to the area’s beaches, many are undoubtedly encountering one of the region’s persistent problems: plastic pollution. Locals saw how pervasive plastic has become during the recent screening of the film “We’re All Plastic People Now” at the Stafford Township branch of the Ocean County Library.
We at Oceana were heartened by the excellent turnout and the lively discussion that followed.
